Assistant Director: Karla Pambid
As assistant director, Karla Pambid rendered her services for the Cinemalaya films “Jay” and “Batad: Sa Paang Palay.” She worked as assistant for “Aawitan Kita” and floor director for “Chowtime na!” She also worked as writer for QTV’s talk show “Moms” and was the supervising producer/director for a segment of Philippines’ Next Top Model. She also does assistant directing work for TV commercials. Her works include spots for Argentina, Huggies, among others.
As a character actress, she did a number of TV stints in shows like “Krystala,” “Kirara,” “Tabing Ilog,” “Bakekang,” “Darna,” “Star Drama,” “Kakabakaba,” “Magpakailanman,” “Del Tierro,” “Marimar,” among others. She also acted for mainstream film productions “Maging Aking Muli” and “Bagong Buwan,” and independent films “Nars” and “Saan Nagtatago si Happiness?” She worked as acting coach for Rio del Mar and rendered her voice as Sailor Jupiter in the anime “Sailormoon.” She also played the mother role on Rianne's second film "Aninag" alongside Joel Torre as her husband.
A well-known face in TV, film, and advertising, she has been a familiar face on the pioneer TV commercials of Circulan 4-in-1. She has also been seen in TV spots of Benadryl, Celeen, among others. Her theater stints include “Oyayi,” “Agnoia,” “Be Not Afraid-Pope John Paul II,” “Mga Kwentong Asyano,” “Dasal Kay San Antonio,” “Rizal Y Crisostomo,” among others. In 1996, she took part on the Young Actors’ Scholarship Program of the Actors’ Workshop Foundation. She’s one of the founding members of the Silly Peoples’ Improv Theater (SPIT). She, along with Rianne, was part of Philippine Educational Theater Association’s (PETA) Summer Academy 2001.
